This week’s education

(What does that have to do with ‘this week’s education’? — stay with me). Not only did I feel like a handful of different people, it was hard to find social support across waffle-boxes when I had personal difficulties in just one box. So I got to wondering...

A dance weekend in MN

I spent the weekend in Minneapolis, Minnesota at a Lindy Hop dance event. Just as I was settling into the constant crisis of graduate school (year 3), I put off reality for a long weekend with some old friends, dipping a toe into a past life. I stayed with my friend Nick, who was also hosting Josh, Davina, Nina, Luke, Todd, Lily, and Andy. Nine people and one bathroom worked out somehow. We spent the weekend playing Guitar Hero,...
